Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to minister God's word to you and spend a few moments in prayer. Today, we'll talk about the word of God is alive and active. Hebrews chapter 4, verse 12, ‘for the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.’ This is one of the most interesting and powerful scriptures in the entire Bible. The word of God is living, alive, sharper than a double-edged sword. God's word diagnoses the condition of a man with a surgeon's precision. It lays open the heart and accurately discerns spiritual health. A surgeon normally uses a scalpel to begin the process of opening a patient up. Hebrews describes God's word as sharper than a double-edged sword. In our world today, the picture of a sword may be difficult to grasp but the idea of a scalpel will make it easier for us to understand. A scalpel can open us up and reveal what's going on inside us. When the word of God exposes our weakness and unbelief, it demonstrates the inherent power, sharpness and accuracy of God's word. It bears constant reminding that as we submit ourselves to the word of God, we do it far more than intellectual knowledge or to learn Bible facts, we do it for the ministry of the word because God meets us at His word and the Holy Spirit powerfully works in our hearts. The spiritual work of God's word goes far beyond just basic educational value. The word of God has healing power and power to deliver from oppression. God's word cleanses us. If we take heed to God's word, our way will be cleansed. God's word imparts life. God's word is a counselor. The word of God has inherent power and authority against demonic powers. God's word is a means of sanctification. The word of God is the sword of the Spirit, it is equipment for battle especially the idea of an offensive weapon. The Bible isn't just a collection of merely old stories and myths, it is inherent with life and power. The preacher does not make the Bible come alive, the Bible is alive and gives life to the preacher and anyone else who's receiving it. God's word reaches us with surprising precision and the Holy Spirit empowers the ministry of the word to keep God's word in our hearts. A sword with two edges has no blunt side. The revelation of God's word of His Holy Scripture cuts every part of us, our conscience and even our hearts. Sometimes, we try to hide at and cover up the sin in our life but nothing is hidden from God. By the power of His Spirit, God convicts us of truth through His word and leads us to live by the way of love, sharing goodness to others. Let's pray, Father, we thank you for your word that is alive, that is powerful, that is sharper than a double-edged sword. Lord, we thank you that your word brings conviction in our hearts. Help us Lord that we will continue to walk in obedience to your word, to trust your word and to wholly depend on you, we thank you for doing this for us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
